The United States’ economy has been ranked as the largest in the entire world. The country’s nominal GDP was approximated to 15.7 trillion dollars in 2012 which almost a quarter of the world’s GDP. Consequently, the country’s purchasing power parity has also been ranked in the world. The United States has been able to maintain a stable general GDP growth, high levels of investment in research and development, and moderate rate of unemployment.
