Research Design and Qualitative Methods
Remember to always use your own words .
(You are of course allowed to use terms like “structured interview”, “participant observation”, “emotional labour”, “internal validity”, “validity claims”, etc., because these just are the correct terms, and it would be very confusing to replace them by other words.)
If you absolutely need to use parts of sentences from the texts written by the author, you need to cite the source properly using quotation marks, etc., but these parts of your answer will be worth only half as many points as when using your own words.
If you use parts of sentences from the texts written by the authors without citing them properly this will be considered plagiarism (and needs to be reported to the university and will result in 0 points), so you certainly don’t ever want to go there.
Please always write full sentences.
