History Changes
Introduction
According to Garel et al (2007), historical change is simply referred to as an all-encompassing term and they include things like major events, setting of world records in mara.To begin with, the most important thing about to remember is that social conditions have been subjected to constant changes. Historically, there have been many changes that have taken place that many people never anticipated to happen. History is centrifugal part of every aspect of life. For instance, analysis of the history can assist the management to make some future decisions in the running of the organization. There are some historical issues that have been able to change as the time goes by. There have been changes on the gender issues, age issues, the community, the household, governance, and economical issues (Piketty & Saez,2006).
This essay examines the historical changes that have taken place in human life.
Historical Changes on Gender Issues
In most parts of the world, the role of women in the economy as well as decision making processes has undergone through a total turnaround in the recent past. Before the Second World War took place, women were limited to some roles like cooking for the family, washing clothes, taking care of the husband, baring children, and also any household issues. For the current issues that surround gender historical processes that affect the roles of women to be understood, the current conditions should be put into proper perspective. This could be even more important in those areas where there is massive resistance from some parts of the society to the changes in the roles of women (Inglehart & Norris, 2003). The role of women has constantly changes and this is according to seasonal variations. There are some conditions that do take place at certain times of the year may put some constraints on women to carryout their day to day duties. For example, during the dry season in monsoon climates; the distance those women to cover when collecting the water for family do change dramatically. Historically, the roles of women have changed a lot and by extension even the roles of men have equally changed. For example, women are now working as engineers, doctors, judges, teachers, researchers and even accountants. In other words, there are some roles that were only being played by only men like providing for the families but as things stands right now, things have changed significantly. The other historical change that has also been witnessed as far as gender roles are concerned is that men are nowadays carrying out some of the household chores that were traditionally meant for women. For example, men can now cook for the family and in general can take care of the household chores. It is important to note that historical change does take place virtually everyday and therefore it is a continuous process (Cleveland, Stockdale, Murphy & Gutek, 2000).
Historical Changes During 1920s
Historical change is a concept that can easily be understood without any problem at all. The period during 1920s, this was a decade that was marred with historical changes whose effects are still being felt in the world to date. Most importantly to note is that there were big historical changes that took place between 1915 and 1925 (Held, McGrew, Goldblatt & Perraton, 2000). Understanding issues that led to changes during this period are quite complex to understand. This is because there was no any single cause for these issues as there was variety of causes for these changes. For example, it was during this time when the automobile was discovered and this led to the huge changes in the society. The invention of automobile made the movement from one place to another easier as compared to the previous periods. The invention of automobile further expanded the international trade during those days. The trade was expanded due to the fact that people could easily transport their goods from one region to another much quicker and easier as compared to days when people were only relying on ships for transportation. The other thing to be noted during this period was that it was during this time when some of the major developments that are currently being witnessed in the world started. After the First World War, the United States found itself in the period of outstanding economic growth. The other historical change that can be talked about during this period was the issue of Victorian standards of morality that was necessitated by the historical change (Inglehart & Norris, 2003).
Impact of Historical Changes on the Cultures and Politics across the World
Towards the end of the 19th century, most of the societies around the world have been summarized under the topic of modern revolution. This is because it has been able to link the different regions both in terms of economically, culturally, politically and socially. During this time the world was overly dominated by the industrial revolution that was taking place across the world. The emergence of industrial revolution made Europe to be both economically and politically stronger across the world. As Europe was becoming stronger and stronger economically, this gave them political power over other countries across the world. The world was virtually dominated by the industrial states of Europe that were generally weak and politically marginalize just before the industrial revolution took place across the world(Hashizume, 2000). By the year 1910, most of the countries from Europe had already dominated the other parts of the world like Africa and some parts of Asia. The industrial revolution that took place in Europe led to the rise of colonialism that took place across the world. Industrialization revolution that took place led to the rise of technologies that changed how things were being done during the time before the emergence of industrial revolution. These changes made it difficult for the rise of machineries that seemed to be quite expensive and for a businessman had to set up a business, he or she had to first accumulate enough capital either through the partnerships, loans from banks, and from donations from the family members. All in all historical changes is wide topic that cannot be discussed exhaustively (Chivers et al.,2001).
Conclusion
Basically, historically, several things have changed a lot across the world in every aspect of life. These historical changes range from the gender roles, to forms of governance and also economic and political impact. Historical changes are things that are taking place in the day to day of individual’s life. Finally, it is important to remember that history is centrifugal part of every aspect of life. For instance, analysis of the history can assist the management to make some future decisions in the running of the organization.
