Each student will choose a different city or town (a municipality) within the United States to study for their semester project.  Students will select their preferred city or town on the appropriate discussion board topic early in the semester, or will be assigned a city or town to study.  Using a variety of scholarly and news resources, students will write and submit a paper of no fewer than 5 pages covering all of the topics below, at a minimum.
